About Our Presenter: Kathryn Ellmauer, PHR, serves as a Military Community at Work Ambassador for the National SHRM Foundation and currently works in the heavy construction equipment industry. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Marist College and her Master’s degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. With deep personal and professional ties to the military community—granddaughter of a National Guardsman, daughter of a Korean War combat veteran, and wife of a twice-deployed Army Reservist, Kathryn brings both expertise and lived experience to her work. Kathryn specializes in military/veteran employment law, workforce advocacy, and inclusive hiring practices. Originally from New York’s Hudson Valley, she currently resides in Central Massachusetts. About the SHRM Foundation’s Military Community at Work Initiative: Through its Military Community at Work initiative, the SHRM Foundation aims to build awareness, educate employers, and influence hiring, recruitment, and retention practices that support service members, veterans, and military families—helping organizations create stronger, more inclusive workplaces. |
